Pigment Removal

Most people are suitable for treatment of sun damage, freckles and other pigmented areas of the skin

Unsightly sunspots are often eradicated on areas such as the face, decolletage and hands. Get in touch to discover how we may help you achieve a more even and youthful looking skin tone. PLEASE NOTE: large mottled raised pigment or moles cannot be treated and are best checked out by a dermatologist. The area may feel warm and sensitive post treatment and the lesion will darken and appear more obvious at first. It will then flake off. This can take up to two weeks. Typically, 1-3 sessions are required at 4 week intervals.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should you not do after a laser session?
While your skin recovers, avoid exfoliating, shaving, and plucking new hair, extreme workouts, or harsh massages on the treated area for the first five days post-treatment.
Can I shave between laser sessions?
Yes, you can shave in between each session of laser hair removal. During your course of treatment you can shave any hairs that may regrow. After your first laser hair removal session you will notice that you won't need to shave as much as before. After 2-3 sessions you may only need to shave once in a 4-6 week period
Aftercare
If the area still feels hot at home you can apply a cold flannel or cool pack. Following treatment, the area may appear red and raised and you may experience a tingling sensation. This is completely normal and should settle over the next few days. Occasionally you may experience swelling or bruising and this can last anything from 1-2 days up to 1-2 weeks. Make-up can be applied after several hours, if the skin is not sore or broken. Care should be taken to avoid trauma to the treated area for 4 or 5 days afterwards. Avoid strenuous activities, sauna and steam, excessively hot baths, massaging etc. Wash and bathe as normal but take cool showers rather than hot baths. The skin should be patted dry and not rubbed. Use Lynton Light Soothe serum to reduce irritation and keep the area moisturised and the skin protected. Use a sunscreen (SPF 30+ and protect the area from sunlight as much as possible between treatments and for at least one month after treatment ends. If blistering occurs contact the clinic immediately for further advice.
